water, water, everywhere...

I've been to Niagara Falls twice in my life, and every time it's more beautiful... I could stay there all day just to look at and listen to the water falling...
This view of the horseshoe fall, from the boat.

The group, wet after the Cave of the winds waterfall.
Cave of the Winds waterfall, here the water comes down at the speed of a hurricane, I had to hold on to the side rail to walk past the fall.. Other brave souls went right for the fall, under the cold icy water just to see what it feels like :D
The boat ride.... all dressed in blue ponchos to keep dry :D
Tons of water fall everyday...it's gorgeous to look at..
on top of the bridge...
The Maid of the Mist boat..

It's been a great experience, I wish we would've stayed till night time, when they light up the falls, and give fireworks.. Maybe next time.

Michelle, This one's just for you!!

And of course anybody who would like to look at it.
So here is the story of this Picture. My hubby and I went to Lowes to buy our bathtub and I was looking at sinks. This one caught my attention, and I immediately thought of Michelle. We were talking the day before at work about painting and renovations, and Michelle mentioned she loved blue colors. I thought this would go perfect in a blue bathroom :D ....

Updates..

I've been slaking on updating my blog, however I had a very good excuse. I'm a home owner now which brings on alot more responsibilites, especially if the house is old and is being renovated from "head to toe" :D.
So after much work at the house, though I have to compliment my father in law and my husband for doing most of the work.. here are some updated looks...AND THEY REALLY DID A FABULOUS WONDERFUL JOB!
TA DA....!! The New Fireplace :D

It's dusty I know.. I wasn't painted yet.. so here are more details!

Side accented with gold..

Detail, front view... This one we were debating to leave it painted white just like the fireplace, or spray paint it gold. The Gold Won! And I'm glad, because I like it this way better :D.

Fireplace and walls with blue tape :D.. ugh.. gotta love blue tape.. it's a pain but it works..

And finally View of the Living Room painted with fireplace. ***Please disregard the mess on the floor. We're still working in the house, and haven't put up the hardwood yet. ***

So here it is. I am so happy the way it came out. It just makes the living room look so much larger compared to how it was. If you don't know, look through the first couple of pictures in Before & After. I'm sure you'll agree with me.

YEPEEEE!!!!! SNOW!!

I can't tell enough how excited I was when I heard it was going to snow. I was at work, in the cafeteria getting lunch and a visitor in line said, we're getting about 4 -6 inches of snow tomorrow! I went : really?? I couldn't believe it, I was so happy to hear it... my work day just got 100 x better!! you'd know what i mean if you're from the north and love Snow :D :D..

I miss it, and whoever is reading this and is from up north, ( you know who you are, Mrs Cullen :D ) understands me. I don't miss the cold, by definetely the white, soft, cool flakes that turns the world into a magical place :D :D :D.. and it truly was magical.. in the morning.. awww!! seeing everything covered in white, sparkling white.. it was beautiful, just like a fairy tale :D

So here is the magic I was talking about ...

Having fun with my husband and his cousins...

Our first snow together in NC...
And this is the part of snowing I do not miss at all!!

Getting up in the morning, and shoveling, cleaning my car right before going to classes.. It was an ordeal..

Thank God we only had snow for 2 days this time. It was very sweet :D. I hope we get snow again next year, just for 2 days is enough to satisfy my cravings.. and please God let it be on Christmas !

Our front door

This is our front door!! I'm so excited.. :D :D :D , it's beautiful. I didn't think we'll change it so soon, but we did, So here is the story ....
A couple days back, (more like the week before Christmas), Iurie and I went to home depot and lowes to look at stuff for the house. We looked at doors, kitchen cabinets, bath tubs, vanity sinks, hardwood, tile etc.. Lots of stuff, so much my head was spinning.. Well, we looked at the different door designs and decided we liked a full oval, and a dark brown color. however, we did not purchase it then.
The 26th of December I was working, my parents and my husband were off from work and were at the house. I called Iurie at lunch break and asked him: "How are the repairs coming? anything new?". "NO, he replies, everything is going ok, your parents are painting, I'm working downstairs." So we finished our conversation, and hung up the phone.
Guess what happened when I got home after work? I went straight to the house and was surprised by this brand new beautiful, full oval, dark brown door!!! :D :D :D ...I jumped up and down, and hugged my hubby :D. During the day he changed the door, and wanted it to be a surprise for me. so here it is the story of our front door...
THE END.
